Nitrox benefits

Why dive with Nitrox?

Longer no-decompression limits

On suitable dive profiles, the lower nitrogen content may allow longer no-decompression limits.

Benefits for repetitive dives

The lower nitrogen content can be beneficial when planning several dives.

Understand Nitrox properly

Training covers oxygen limits, maximum operating depth (MOD) and safe dive planning.

Benefits of online learning

Why take your Nitrox course online?

Flexible learning

Learn whenever and wherever you like, without fixed class times.

At your own pace

Work through the lessons at your own pace and revisit difficult topics whenever needed.

No travel required

Save the journey to a dive school and learn comfortably from home.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

An online Nitrox course teaches the theory of Nitrox diving from home: gases such as EAN32 and EAN36, oxygen partial pressure, maximum operating depth (MOD), gas analysis and dive planning. Certification is issued only after all prescribed training and certification requirements have been met.

The PADI Nitrox course (€199) uses official PADI eLearning, available in many languages. The digital PADI certification is issued after successful completion.

The ProNRC Nitrox course (€119) runs on our own learning platform and is available in German only. The physical certification card is processed after successful completion and verification of the certification requirements.

A Nitrox course generally requires an entry-level scuba diving qualification. Exact entry requirements follow the standards of the organisation concerned (PADI or ProNRC). Contact us before booking if you have any questions.

A responsible dive centre or filling station will ask for proof of Nitrox training before supplying or filling a Nitrox cylinder.

There is a good reason: you need to know your gas's oxygen content, respect its maximum operating depth (MOD) and set your dive computer correctly.

Your Nitrox certification shows that you have successfully completed the required training. It is more than a card: it is evidence of the qualification needed to handle enriched air responsibly.

Our ProNRC Nitrox online course is available in German only. The language of this information website does not change the language of the course.

The PADI Nitrox online course is available in many languages. You can select German, English or Spanish when booking. Need another language? Please contact me before purchasing. I'll check availability and take your language preference into account when assigning your course. Find out more on the page PADI Nitrox course.

Book your course using our booking form. After payment has been verified, we assign your course access personally. Payment alone does not constitute certification: the certificate or card is issued after successful completion and verification of the certification requirements.

No. Our online Nitrox courses are theory-only courses. You study the theoretical content online. No practical dives are included or required as part of our online courses. The applicable prerequisites and certification requirements remain unchanged.

After payment has been verified, you receive a booking confirmation. You can optionally request an early start on the booking form. For ProNRC, access details are then emailed automatically in a separate message. For PADI, Wieland registers you personally and PADI emails your access details directly. If you do not request an early start, the scheduled waiting period applies to both courses.
